A stove is a heating-appliance, which is self contained and heats up a single space. A cooking stove heats up its own space. Stoves are easy to control and emit fewer pollutants. They are more efficient than open fires.
“Necessity is the other of invention” and this line applies quite properly to the invention of stove. Open fire with several disadvantages prompted the people to improvise something close. So, attempts were made to enclose the fire in a single room. Open fire has less heat efficiency and produces a dangerous amount of smoke. First stove was conceived by Francois Cuvillies, a French architect in 1735. This stove was a masonry construction, where there were perforated iron plates covering several fireholes. Then stove underwent through several improvisations and innovations. Modern stoves are nice appliance which enables safe and good cooking in your kitchen.

The word “stove” is derived from the old English word “ stofa”, which ,means a room. Till 19th century stove meant a single heated room.
There are several types of stoves available. Corn and pellet stoves are biofuel stoves. Corn pellets generate more ash than wood pellets. AGA cooker, a high-end stove is the invention of Gustaf Dalen, Swedish Nobel Prize winner. Some other stoves are Smoke Burner Stove in which shavings, wood chips and leaves are used as fuel.
