Brown Goods

In our daily life, we use numerous appliances and machineries for making our works simpler and easier. Electronic and electrical goods manufacturing companies are using latest technology and are producing more advanced appliances day by day. The stores and shopping malls across the world are now packed with various electronic and electrical appliances that have got more utility and better functionality. Television set and refrigerator are the two most common household appliances that you would get to see almost in very house,but apart from that various other appliances are also used by people, among which some are brown goods and some are white goods.

The term 'brown goods' might make you confused, but it has got no connection with drugs. All electronic and electrical appliances fall under the category of brown goods and white goods. Brown goods refer to those household electronic and electrical items that are small in size and are easily movable. Brown goods, which is actually a British English term mainly refers to electrical entertainment appliances like television sets, camcorders, still cameras, HIFi and home theater systems, telephones, answering machines, CD and DVD players and video game console.
